Tella Taylor, John D., 77, of North Providence, passed on January 30, 2020 at his home. Born in Providence, he was a son of Daniel Tella-Taylor of North Providence and the late Margherita (D’Orsi).
John was the former owner of Putnam Auto Body in Johnston. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Dillon Council. He was known to always put a smile on everybody’s face with his use of the word “Wicked”.
Besides his father, he is survived by a daughter and granddaughter, his partner, Linda Celetti, two sisters, Paula Aldrich and her husband Jack and Cynthia Perez, all of North Providence, sister-in-law, Lori Tella, and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Daniel J. Tella.
His funeral service will be held Friday at 9 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Calling hours Thursday 5-8 pm.
