Anne M. Moriarty, 71, of North Smithfield, passed away peacefully with her sisters by her side on October 2, 2026 at her home. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Daniel Patrick and Rita Sarah (Kenny) Moriarty.

Anne was a registered nurse who had a fulfilling career at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital before retiring. Anne was an avid New England sports fan and enjoyed following Men's and Women's Professional tennis. 

She is survived by her siblings, Mary Ellen Robertson (late Paul) of Coventry, RI, Rita P. Moriarty of North Smithfield, RI, Daniel P. Moriarty, Jr. (Suzanne) of North Kingstown, RI, and Kevin M. Moriarty of Augusta, ME, and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She also leaves her godmother, Rita E. Cunningham and her dear friend, Frances Lonardo Ethier. She was the sister of the late Sheila Richard (late Donald) and James W. Moriarty. 

Relatives and friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at 11 am at St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial will follow in Acotes Hill Cemetery, 1049 Putnam Pike, Chepachet. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anne's memory may be made to Rhode Island Community Food Bank, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, or Little Sisters of the Poor.
