John "Jack" Lyons Sr, 76, of Johnston, passed away on Sunday October 4th, 2026 at Cherry Hill Nursing Home surrounded by family. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Beatrice (Graves) Lyons.

John worked for many years at Pepsi and Twin River Casino before retiring from both.

He loved playing his numbers and watching his sports, the Boston Red Sox, the New England Patriots and especially his Boston Bruins. He was very fond of their late dog Bentley.

He is survived by his wife Donna Lyons, his children, Sherri Lyons and John Lyons Jr (Karen) He was the brother to the late James "Jimmy" Lyons, the late Robert "Bob" Lyons, his sisters, Nancy Evon, Shirley Caruso, and Carol Black (Edward) and the brother -in-law to Susan Lyons.

He was the beloved "Papa" to many that loved him, especially his grandchildren,

Courtney Lyons, Branden Lyons, Adriana Schadone, Ariana Notarianni and his Great Granddaughter Lilianna Lewis.

He was also loved by many nieces and nephews.

The family extends their appreciation to Laurie-Ann Cabana & the wonderful staff at the Cherry Hill Nursing Facility for their care, love and support.

In regards to services, before his passing, John requested no service and that everyone remember all the memories.
