Leonard P. Stabile, known to many as Lenny, passed away on August 29, 2026, at the age of 77.

Born on October 23, 1948, Leonard built a life defined by devotion to family, pride in service, and a warm, engaging presence that drew people to him. Funny, outgoing, and charismatic, he was, above all, a family man. Those who knew him will remember the joy he found in being with the people he loved most and the energy he brought to every gathering.

Leonard was a graduate of Johnson & Wales University. He went on to build a long and dedicated career in real estate, serving as a real estate agent and broker for more than 50 years. His work reflected commitment, experience, and a lasting connection to the community he served.

He was also proud to have served his country in the United States Navy, entering service in 1965. His military service remained an important part of his life, and he took deep pride in having served his country.

Outside of his professional life, Leonard embraced the simple pleasures that brought him happiness. He enjoyed following the Boston Celtics, taking motorcycle rides, spending time at the beach, and going to dinner with his friends. Most of all, he treasured time with his children and grandchildren. Being a father, and later a grandfather, was among his proudest accomplishments and one of the greatest sources of joy in his life.

Leonard is survived by his children, Adam P. Stabile and his wife, Domenique, Ashlyn K. Stabile, and Kayla M. Stabile and her fiance, Leo. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Jacob M. Stabile, Ava M. Stabile, Luca M. Stabile, and Enzo V. Stabile and his beloved cat, Luna. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. He will be remembered with love by his family, who were at the center of his life and the recipients of his deepest pride and affection.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carmine Stabile and Anna G. Stabile (Nobile), and by his brothers, John Stabile, Joseph Stabile, and David Stabile, and his sisters, Anna Riley and Valerie Thomas.

Visitation will be held on September 7, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence, RI 02911.  A prayer service will begin at 6:15 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations memorial contributions may be made to Hopehealth Hospice and Palliative Care.

Leonard’s life was marked by service, hard work, laughter, and love for his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him and in the family of whom he was so proud.
