Richard Petit

June 17, 1930 — July 11, 2020

North Providence

Petit, Richard J., 90, of North Providence, formerly of Franklin, MA, employed by the Raytheon Co. in Wayland, MA before retiring in 1992, died on July 11, 2020 at his home.  HE was the husband of the late Beverly Petit, who passed on May 8th.  Born in Providence, RI he had lived in Johnston, RI for 30 years.

He was the son of the late Frank and Yvonne Petit.  He served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict 1949-1952.

He is survived by two sons, Michael J. Petit and his wife Rebecca of Orlando, FL and Mark Petit and his wife Denise of North Attleboro, MA, two grandchildren, Corinne and Colette Petit, and his sister, Dolores Picard.  He was the brother of the late Yvonne Zoglio, Loretta Lacour, Florence Guilmette, Marcelle Morin, Bella Zoglio, and Edmond, Albert, Norman, Leo and Frank Petit.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10-11 am with a service at 11 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence.  Burial with military honors will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
