Joseph Quartino

Quartino, Joseph J., 73, of Johnston, died Thursday June 3, 2021 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center.  He was the husband of Angela (Addessi) Quartino.  Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Thomas and Lee (Morelli) Quartino.

Joe was a machinist for the former BIF Company until its closing.  He then worked for the Johnston School Department for a number of years.  He was also the building superintendent for Our Lady of Grace Church, and taught classes at Davies Vocational Tech.  He was a member of the Johnston Democratic Town Committee, co-chair of the Our Lady of Grace Church Feast, and a board member of the Johnston Senior Center.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter Heather A. Howard and her husband Daniel, two sisters, Ann Marie Torregrossa and Barbara Quartino Paolino, and five grandchildren, Paul and Roger Brilliant, Logan, Cole, and Melone Howard. He was the brother of the late Thomas Quartino.

Joe’s funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:45 AM from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in Our Lady of Grace Church, Johnston.  Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.  Calling hours Monday 5-8 PM.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Our Lady of Grace Church Memorial Fund.
