Obituary

John A. Palumbo, of Cranston, passed away on May 15, 2023.  He was the beloved husband of Sandra LaFazia-Palumbo.  Born in Providence, he was the son of the late George J. and Corinne (DeBenedetto) Palumbo and brother of the late George Palumbo.

John worked as a self-employed Certified Public Accountant for over 35 years.  He also was a Registered Investment Advisor for Cambridge. 

John was a member of the Holy Name Society at St. Mary’s Church in Cranston, the Kelley Gazzerro VFW Post #2812 in Cranston, and the Over 65 Golf League at Harbor Lights.  He also was an avid fly fisherman.  He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 11 am in St. Mary’s Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston.  Committal prayers with military honors will follow in Highland Memorial Park, 1 Rhode Island Ave., Johnston.  Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.  In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory may be made to St. Mary’s Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston, RI 02920.
