Geraldine Iadevaia

North Providence

Iadevaia, Geraldine A. (Puccetti), 73, of North Providence, passed on August 12, 2021 at her home.  She was the longtime companion of Jack DeMendonca.  Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Delphina (Caranci) Puccetti.

Geraldine worked for the State of Rhode Island as a Senior Equal Opportunity Employment Officer for 30 years before retiring.  She enjoyed spending time in her homes in North Providence and Florida, gardening, dancing, traveling with her friends, and baking cookies, especially on her favorite holiday, Christmas Eve.  She overcame much adversity throughout her life with an incredible will to live life to the fullest.  To her family and close friends, she is the strongest person they will ever know.

Geraldine is survived by three children, Michael Iadevaia, Michele Iadevaia, and Tracy Iadevaia, her grandson, Aiden Iadevaia, and her sister, Dorothy Iavarone and her husband Stephen of Spring Hill, FL.

Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence.  Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.  Calling hours Monday 5-8 pm.
