Hosmer, Frederick R. Jr., 80, of Greenville, died on July 23, 2019 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center.  He was the husband of Audrey M. (Kunelius) Hosmer.  Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Frederick R. and Dorothea (Threshier) Hosmer.

Fred was a resident of Pittsburg, NH for 44 years before moving back to Rhode Island.  He also wintered in Oak Hill, Florida for the last 13 years, where he enjoyed camping along the Intracoastal Waterway.  He was an avid hunter, and enjoyed fishing and snowmobiling in New Hampshire, Maine, and Canada.

Besides his wife, Fred is survived by many nieces and nephews, including Deborah Galyas, Denise Firby, Alan Firby, Paul Berard, Victor Berard, and Jay Berard, and many great nieces and nephews.  He was the father of the late Frederick “Eric” Hosmer and brother of the late Joyce Firby and Carol Berard.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Friday, August 2, 2019 at 11 am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville.  Calling hours will be held Thursday, August 1st from 4-7 pm in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005.
