Dolores Ross

January 27, 1938 — March 5, 2021

Johnston

Ross, Dolores M. (Cerio), 83, of Johnston, died on March 5, 2021 at Morgan Health Center.  Born in Boston, MA, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas Cerio and Margaret (Russo) Clouse.

Affectionately known to those who loved her as “DeeDee,” Dolores was funny, fun loving, and independent. She was a hard worker, having worked in the jewelry industry for many years.  She most enjoyed relaxing on the beach, listening to Frank Sinatra, sipping a nice glass of wine, and spending time with her friends and family. She liked to travel and ventured to Italy twice, as well as to her beloved New York City countless times. She experienced many wonderful, cherished memories with her loving family, as she enjoyed watching them grow. Her family meant everything to her, and she was everything to them. She will be loved and missed always.

She is survived by three children, Denise Labonte and her husband Henry, Martin Ross and his wife Jacqueline, and Nicholas Ross and his wife Dawn; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Jacqueline Ciano and her husband Glenn, Florence Armenti, and Joan Odsen and her husband Joseph; and many nieces and nephews.  She was the sister of the late Nicholas and Frank Cerio and Margaret “Peggy” Montini.

Due to current restrictions, funeral services and burial will be private.
