Carol J. (Mariotti) Sherboken

Carol J. Sherboken (Mariotti), 72, of Smithfield, died peacefully on January 12, 2023 at her home with her family by her side.  She was the wife of Paul Sherboken for 52 years.  Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Caesar and Adeline (Pirolli) Mariotti and stepdaughter of the late Carolina (Petrella) Mariotti.

Carol had worked for Mine Safety Appliances for 15 years.  She then worked at Crowne Optical for 10 years.  Carol loved gardening, cooking, and especially, her family.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Lisa Palmieri and Lori Houde, four grandchildren, Brianna Sherboken, Donald Houde III, Carolyn Houde, and Brooke Palmieri, four great-grandchildren, her sister, Maria Mariotti, and her brother, Roy Mariotti.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2023 from 8:30-10:30 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Michael Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield.  Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michael Food Closet,  or Continuum Hospice.
