In Loving Memory of Zeinab Hussein

October 16, 1944 – June 11, 2026

With heavy hearts and profound love, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife, and friend, Zeinab Hussein, at the age of 81.

Born on October 16, 1944, in Cairo, Egypt, Zeinab lived a life defined by love, devotion, generosity, and family. She carried the warmth of her Egyptian roots wherever she went and touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Zeinab was the loving mother of three daughters: Jill Hamdy, Gigi Amore, and Amy Hussein Vieira. She was a devoted grandmother to Danielle Hamdy, David Hamdy, Michael Amore, Alexis Vieira, and Dante Vieira, and a proud great-grandmother to Jillianie Hamdy and David Hamdy Jr.

Family was the center of Zeinab’s world. She found her greatest joy in gathering loved ones around her table, preparing delicious meals, and creating lasting memories through family dinners, holidays, and celebrations. Her home was always open, welcoming, and filled with love.

She had a special appreciation for the beauty of nature. She loved flowers, gardening, and birds, finding peace and happiness in caring for her garden and enjoying the simple wonders of life. Her nurturing spirit extended not only to her family but to everything she cared for.

Zeinab shared an extraordinary love story with her husband, Mohamed Hussein, spanning 60 wonderful years. Together they traveled the world, exploring countless countries and creating memories that most can only dream of. Whether traveling abroad, enjoying time at the casino, or simply being together, they cherished every moment side by side.

To her grandchildren, she was more than a grandmother—she was a source of comfort, wisdom, strength, and unconditional love. She was the kind of grandmother every child hopes to have, always present with a warm smile, a caring heart, and a home filled with love.

Though our hearts are broken by her loss, we are grateful for the countless memories she leaves behind and the lasting legacy of love, family, and kindness she instilled in all of us.

While we will miss her deeply every day, we find peace in knowing that Zeinab is now reunited with her beloved husband of 60 years, Mohamed Hussein, and her cherished great-grandson, Joshua David Hamdy, whom she loved dearly. We take comfort in imagining them together once again, surrounded by love and at peace.

Though she is no longer by our side, her spirit lives on in every family gathering, every flower that blooms, every home-cooked meal shared around the table, and every memory we hold close to our hearts.

Until we meet again, your love will guide us, your memories will comfort us, and your legacy will remain with us forever.
