William Proulx

Proulx, William J. Sr. "Willy", of Sparta, TN, passed away on June 4, 2014 after a brief illness. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Alice M. Houde. He is survived by his father, Raymond Houde, Sr; his children, Patricia Octeau, Kathleen Bose, Kevin, James, William Jr. and his wife Jeanne; his brothers, Raymond Jr., Ernest, Donald, Gary, Michael, and Edward Houde, eight grandchildren, and his former wife, Gail (Young) Carlton. Formerly of Smithfield, he was the founder of Willy's Towing & Auto Body which he operated from 1966 to 1984. He moved to Florida in 1988, where he owned Terrace Motors and an auto a/c business. In 2007, he retired to Sparta, TN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September 20th at 10 am in St. Michael Church, Georgiaville.
