William Brown, Sr.

Brown, William A. Sr., 79, of North Providence, died Thursday April 19, 2018 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. He was the husband of the late Carol A. (Cooper) Brown. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Raymond and Henrietta (Spitznagel) Brown.

Having retired from the Providence School Department, William was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. He enjoyed shooting pool and spending time with his family and his granddog Bella. William also enjoyed dancing with members of his family at various functions.

He is survived by his sons, William Brown, Jr. and his wife Barbara, Thomas Brown and his wife Martha, three grandchildren, William Brown and his wife Kristina, Daniel Brown and Christopher Rivas, three great grandchildren, Michael, David and Alyson, two brothers, Alvin and Robert Brown, two sisters, Dorothy McNally and Theresa Brown and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Charles, Calvin, Raymond Brown and Henrietta Wood.

His funeral will be held Tuesday April 24th, 2018 at 10 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence followed by a service at 10:30 am in the Highland Memorial Park Mausoleum, Johnston.
