William Bagley, Sr.

BAGLEY, WILLIAM R., SR., 74, passed away surrounded by his wife and children on March 7, 2016. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Richard and Doris (Mosher) Bagley. He is survived by his loving wife, Grace (Rotondo) Bagley and his adoring sons William R. Bagley Jr. and his wife Gayle, and Michael Bagley and his wife Amanda. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Aidan, Devin, Amelia and Mikaila, as well as thirteen nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Richard Bagley and Jacqueline Raposa.

William worked 32 years as a driver for the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority prior to his retirement. When he wasn't spending time with his family, he continued his love of driving as a chauffeur for A Star Limousine.

He loved to travel, and made many trips to New Hampshire, which was his home away from home. He had also traveled all over the United States, and around the world. Recently, he and his wife Grace realized a lifelong dream when they toured Europe together.

William was also a passionate fan of all the local sports teams, especially the Patriots and Red Sox. One of his favorite sports memories was watching the Red Sox win the 2004 World Series together with his children and grandson Aidan.

Most of all, He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, all of whom had no doubt that he loved them, and all of whom loved him dearly. Although he leaves them in sorrow, he has blessed them all with enough happy memories to last a lifetime.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 9:00 A.M. from the Elliott M. Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in St. Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Ave, Providence.
