Walter Paterson

Paterson, Walter E., 90, of Smithfield, passed away on February 13, 2020 at home.  He was the husband of Norma (Carlton) Paterson.  Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Horatio Rogers Nightingale Paterson and Mary B. (Balfour) Paterson.  He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Besides his wife, he is survived by four children, Leah Paterson-Smith, Tracey Paterson-Ovian and her husband Craig A. Ovian, Jill Paterson and her husband Richard B. Iannitelli, and Walter R. Paterson, four grandchildren, Alexandra J. Iannitelli, Travis Lee Smith, Benjamin R. Iannitelli, and Farah Rose Smith, a sister, Elizabeth Gould, and a brother, R. Bruce Paterson.  He was the brother of the late Mary L. Wilson, Barbara Ferguson, Nancy Lewis, and Patricia Rathbun.
