Viola Fox

Fox, Viola E. (Johnson), 88, of North Providence, died Saturday August 13, 2011 at the Holiday Retirement Home in Manville. She was the wife of the late Douglas A. Fox, to whom she was married for 52 years. A graduate of Hope High School and a lifelong resident of North Providence, she worked at the town tax assessor's office for 16 years. She enjoyed gardening, needle work, golfing and traveling.

She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Tucker of North Providence, her grandson, Brett Tucker, as well as a nephew and three nieces. She was the sister of the late Mildred Rasmussen, George, Elmer, and Carl Johnson, and was the mother-in-law of the late Timothy F. Tucker of North Providence.
