Susan J. Macioci

Susan J. Macioci (Corte), 73, of Smithfield, died on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital.  She was the wife of Benjamin Macioci.  Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Parker) Corte.

Susan had worked as a manager for Newport Creamery in various locations before retiring.  She was a former Sunday School teacher at the Georgiaville Baptist Church, Smithfield.  A talented artist, she also taught ceramics.  Most of all, she was a devoted mother, never missing any of her children’s sporting events.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two children, Diane Metz and her husband, Dan, and Kevin Macioci, her grandson, Jonathan Macioci, her brother, Theodore Corte and his companion, Susan Lynch, her nephew, Joseph Corte, and three nieces, Kristen Kelly, Jessica Macioci, and Linda Harris.  She was the sister of the late Donna Gould and Michael Corte.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 10-11 am, followed by a service at 11 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence.  Burial will be private.
