Rose Picone

Picone, Rose, of Smith St., North Providence, passed away Monday, September 21, 2009. She was the wife of the late David Harris.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Luigi and Mary (Iannuccilli) Picone. She lived in Detroit, MI for 23 years before relocating to RI in 1970. She had lived in North Providence since 1980.

Rose liked to read and spend a lot of time volunteering at the Salvatore Mancini Center. She loved people and they loved her. She will be sadly missed.

She leaves five children, Maureen Madajazyk of Algonac, MI, David Harris of Wimauma, FL, Michael Harris of Colorado Springs, CO, Linda Parise of St. Claire, MI, Scott Harris of Detroit, MI, three sisters, Rita Perry of Warwick, Delores Ianniello of North Providence, Evelyn Garofalo of Cranston, a brother, Ray Picone of Coventry, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a step-granddaughter, and a step-great-grandson.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Friday at 10 am in Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Fourth St., North Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
