Rosalind B. Loxsom

Rosalind (Lindy) B. Loxsom, 94, of Smithfield, passed away on March 4, 2024 at the Hope Health Hospice Inpatient Center. She was the wife of the late James Loxsom. Born in Sudbury, MA, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Ida Bonazzoli.

Lindy received her Bachelor's degree from UMass Amhurst and worked as a Registered Dietician for the Visiting Nurses Association of Providence after raising her children. She also attained her Master's degree in Communication from Rhode Island College. She enjoyed gardening, swimming and reading. She was a member of multiple book clubs over the years, most recently at the Greenville Library. She joined the Georgiaville Baptist Church shortly after she moved to the area as a newlywed and was an active member throughout her life. She enjoyed spending time with her family and taking care of her beautiful gardens.

She is survived by her children, David Loxsom and his wife, Cynthia, Mark Loxsom, Judy Loxsom and her husband, Clark LaPorte, six grandchildren, Jennifer Rapacioli, Regina Del Campo, James Loxsom, Frank Loxsom, Timothy Murphy, and Ryan Murphy, and five great-grandchildren, Aria Rapacioli, Westley DelCampo, Logan Murphy, Atticus Murphy, and Bowie Murphy.

Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 10:30 am at the Georgiaville Baptist Church, 100 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park. Calling hours are Monday March 11, 2024 from 5-7 pm in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Georgiaville Baptist Church.
