Ronald M. Costa, a longtime North Providence resident, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2025, at the age of 83. He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret R. (Neil) Costa. Born on May 28, 1942, in Providence, he was a son of the late Manuel Costa and the late Nancy (Ceccofiglio) Costa-Vaccaro.
Ronald's career in maintenance for the Town of North Providence reflected his commitment to ensuring that his community was well cared for. He was well-known for his approachable demeanor and had a remarkable ability to connect with anyone he encountered. A life member of the Centredale Firefighters Association, Ronald also proudly served in the United States Air Force. Ronald's interests extended beyond service; he found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. His love for dogs, camping, and spending sunny days mowing his lawn brought him happiness, while his daily morning coffee club with friends was a cherished ritual.
He is survived by his devoted daughters, Patricia Musotic and Tracy Costa-Matz and her wife, Gayle Costa-Matz, his grandchildren, Andrew Costa Curtis and his wife, Rhyannon Costa Curtis and Ronald Musotic, and his great-grandchild, Oakley Costa Curtis. He is also survived by his brother, Michael Costa, and his wife, Phyllis.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025 from 9-10 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in Church of the Presentation, 1081 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Graveside burial with military honors will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriner's Children's Hospital , St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, or Operation Stand Down RI
