Robert Snell

North Providence

Robert L. Snell, 80, of North Providence, died on July 30, 2023 at Miriam Hospital.  He was the husband of Carol (Smith) Snell.  Born in Lynchburg, VA, he was a son of the late Otis P. and Sarah A. (Larmie) Snell.

Robert worked for Stackbin Corporation of Lincoln for over thirty years.  He enjoyed the summertime, working in his garden, and spending time with his family.  He was hardworking, loving and kind, and always willing to lend a helping hand.

A wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, he is survived by his wife, Carol, his daughters, Christine Cataldo and Jennifer Bouressa and her husband Mark, six grandchildren, Evan, Danielle, Joanna, and Bethany Cataldo, and Hannah and Tyler Bouressa, and many nieces and nephews.  A dog lover, he also leaves his devoted companion, Lexie.  He was the brother of the late Barbara Jackson, Lillian Jones, Harriet Thomas, Earl Snell Sr., Mildred Doyle, Dorothy Marsden, Otis Snell, and Warren Snell.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 3rd from 10 am – 12 Noon, followed by a service at 12 Noon in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence.  Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the RISPCA, 186 Amaral St., Riverside, RI 02915.
