Robert Prior

Prior, Robert J., 85, died Thursday August 17, 2017 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. He was the husband of Elaine (Etchells) Prior for 63 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Joseph and Ruth (Boss) Prior.

Robert was an avid New York Yankees fan.

Besides his wife, he is survived by the loving family of Joyce Etchells, Brenda Manchester, Melissa Woods, William Etchells and Joann Farrar, and two brothers, Donald and Earl Prior. He was the brother of the late Joseph Prior, Jr.

His visitation will be held Tuesday 8:15- 9:15AM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, North Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
