Obituary

Robert W. Hagen, a devoted family man, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026, at the Hopehealth Hospice Center at the age of 86. He was the husband of the late Dolores "Dee Dee" (Gelfuso) Conery. He was born on July 20, 1939, in Providence, Rhode Island to the late Charles and Irene (Flannelly) Hagen.

During his career, Robert worked faithfully for the Catholic Cemeteries under the Diocese of Providence, before retiring. His work reflected the integrity and respect he held for both his vocation and those he served.

Robert was a man of many interests and passions. He found great joy in the simple pleasures of life: tending his garden, fishing, and enjoying the nostalgic sounds of oldies music. He was an avid fan of baseball, particularly the Boston Red Sox, and also was a CB Radio enthusiast.

A loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Robert is survived by his children Linda Hagen Almeida, Robert W. Hagen, Jr., and Lori Savoie (Steven). His legacy continues through his many grandchildren: Michelle Shea (Robert), Nicole Benoit, Kristen Ando, Erika Viola (Brennan), Daniel Lanoue (Amy), Lauren Hagen, Carissa Hagen, Kylie Savoie, and Ayden Savoie. Robert’s family was further blessed by nine great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy. He also leaves his brother, Richard Hagen and sister Joan Goyette, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Patricia Hagen Lanoue and Joan Marie Hagen and brother of the late Donald and Ronald Hagen.

Funeral services and burial will be respectfully private.
