Robert L. Angell

Robert L. Angell, 88, of Smithfield, passed away peacefully at his home on June 30, 2024, surrounded by his family.  He was the husband of Barbara A. (Gould) Angell.  They were married for 66 years and together for 71 years.  Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Herbert and Florence (Laboissonniere) Angell. 

Bob worked for Industrial Tool and Machine of Smithfield for 34 years.  He later worked for the Smithfield School Department, reitring at the age of 71.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Robert A. Angell (Carla), Allyson A. Angell, Beth A. DiCicco (Anthony), five grandchildren, Robert Angell, Ryan Angell, Alexandra Angell, Domenique Angell, and Antonio DiCicco, a great-granddaughter, Vivien, and his brother, Joseph Angell.  He was the father of the late Erin Elizabeth Angell and brother of the late Bernice Collins and Claire Summers.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 10 am in St. Michael's Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield.
