Rita Souza

Souza, Rtia (Pevide), 87, of Johnston, died Wednesday August 19, 2015 at home. She was the wife of the late Louis Souza. Born in Fall River, MA, she was a daughter of the late Antone Pevide and Mary (Ferriera) Pevide.

She is survived by her son, David Souza and his wife Denise, three grandchildren, Matthew Souza and his wife Richele, Bethany Souza and Amy Carpentier, five grandchildren, Brendan, Tyler, Bria, Kayla and Cali, and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by five brothers and a sister.

Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9AM from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Johnston. Burial will be in the Nathan Slade Cemetery, Somerset, MA. Calling hours Friday 4-7PM.
