Raymond Houde, Sr.

Houde, Raymond J. Sr., 90, died Monday, March 21, 2016 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. He was the husband of the late Alice M. (Proulx) Houde. Born in New Bedford, he was a son of the late Armand and Bernadette (Cote) Houde.

Ray was a truck mechanic for Marwell Trucking until retiring. He was a member of Teamsters Local #251.

He leaves six sons, Raymond J. Houde, Jr., Ernest A. Houde, Sr., Donald L. Houde, Sr., Gary P. Houde, Michael R. Houde, and Edward A. Houde, Sr., 25 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren. He was the father of the late William J. Proulx, and brother of the late Roland, Emile, and Louis Houde.

His visitation will be held Friday from 10 to 11 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11AM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence. Burial with military honors will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
