Paula Gibbons

Gibbons, Paula M. (Branca), 59, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 7th, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Jeffrey J. Gibbons. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Dolores (Falco) Branca.

Paula was a dedicated employee of Blue Cross/Blue Shield of RI for 37 years, retiring as director of web services. While at Blue Cross, Paula participated in many charitable events. Following retirement, she fulfilled her lifelong dream by starting her own craft business, Simply Paula, specializing in hand-painted birdhouses and greeting cards.

In addition to her husband, Paula leaves her step-daughter Meghan M. Gibbons, son-in-law Alan Brousseau and granddaughter Gwendolyn Rose Brousseau, mother-in-law Carmel J. Gibbons, sister-in law Susan Lombardi, brother-in-law Michael Lombardi, and her many cherished nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Blessed Sacrament Church, 179 Academy Ave., Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. Calling hours Friday 5-8 pm.
