Patricia A. Livesey (Wheeler), 69, of Smithfield, passed peacefully on April 19, 2025 at the HopeHealth Hospice Center, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of James W. Livesey for 45 years. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Veronica (Cullen) Wheeler.
Patricia loved a great party and enjoyed listening to live music and dancing. Some of her proudest moments were going to watch her sons when they performed with their bands. She also enjoyed going to her family’s summer home in East Matunuck, spending long days on the beach with her black iced coffee.
She also loved baking her wonderful cakes and desserts, earning her the nickname of “Patty Cakes”. She generously would bake special request desserts for her family during the holidays, as well as making sure that everyone received a gift at Christmas. She was also known as “Auntie Pat”, since she was like a second mom to many of her sons’ friends.
She will be dearly missed by her husband, James, her sons, David Livesey (Kristen) and Matthew Livesey (Andrea), three grandchildren, Myles, Kai, and Jayce, her sisters, Diane Tresca and Lori Wheeler, many nieces and nephews, and extended members of the Livesey family, as well as many friends and acquaintances. She was the sister of the late Robert and David Wheeler.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 9 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Michael’s Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Calling hours Wednesday 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Save the Bay.
