Patricia A. Gaskin, born on November 24, 1950, in Providence, R.I., passed away on July 23, 2026. In her seventy-five years, Patricia quietly enriched the lives of those around her, known for her steadfast presence and deep dedication to her family.
Patricia was the daughter of the late Dorothy (Youde) Gaskin and Charles Gaskin. She is survived by a close-knit family, including her brothers Ronald and his wife Helene, Donald, Richard, and Jeffrey Gaskin, as well as her sisters Holly Moniz, Dorothy Melo, Heidi Cole and her husband Joseph, and Susan Caldarone and her husband Gregory. Patricia also leaves behind many Nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews. Their shared memories and bonds stand as a poignant testament to Patricia’s lifelong devotion to her loved ones. Patricia was predeceased by her brothers Stephen, Charles, and Timothy Gaskin as well as her brother-in-law Joseph Moniz.
Throughout her life, Patricia found joy in simple pleasures. She was an avid supporter of the Boston Red Sox and held a special admiration for her favorite player, Carl Yastrzemski—"Yaz" to devoted fans like her. She delighted in puzzles, viewing them not just as pastimes but as opportunities to engage her sharp mind. Patricia especially enjoyed watching the television show Survivor, appreciating both the spirit of competition and the complex strategies that unfolded each season. Her fondness for walks reflected her appreciation of the outdoors and the moments of peace it afforded her. Patricia dedicated approximately 30 years at E.R. Hutchinson, where she was known for her hard work and dedication. She also spent time at A.T. Cross, contributing her skills and professionalism
Patricia’s legacy is defined by the quiet strength with which she faced life and the warmth she brought to her family and all who knew her. Her pursuits spoke to her patient and thoughtful nature, and her interests provided a constant thread of connection with friends and relatives alike.
A memorial service to honor Patricia A. Gaskin will be held on July 31, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann Cemetery, located at 73 Church St, Cranston, RI 02920. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Patricia are invited to attend and share in remembrance of a life well lived. When you arrive, please gather in the parking lot across the street from the cemetery entrance at 10:45 a.m.
