Patricia Ann Farley

Patricia Ann Farley, a lifelong resident of Smithfield, known affectionately to all as Pat, departed this world on January 24, 2026, at the age of 92, after a brief illness that she faced with the same grace and strength that defined her throughout her life. Born on July 4, 1933, in the charming town of Smithfield, Patricia was a bright light from the very beginning, growing up in an era that shaped her into the remarkable woman she would become. Patricia's life was rich with love and devotion, both to her family and her community. A loving daughter, sister, and later a steadfast mother, she embodied the spirit of nurturing and support in all her roles. She often shared stories of her upbringing in Smithfield, a place she always cherished. Her laughter, kindness, and unwavering spirit filled the hearts of those around her.

Patricia will be deeply missed by her devoted daughter Paula (Farley) Martin of Smithfield, who carries forward her mother's legacy of love. Her son, Patrick Farley and his wife Terri of Chesapeake, VA, also grieves the loss of a wonderful mother who filled their lives with joy and guidance. The bond she shared with her family was unbreakable, making memories that will be treasured forever.

Her heart swelled with pride for her grandsons, Jason Martin of Smithfield and Liam Farley of Austin, TX.  The warmth of Patricia's spirit, her generous heart, and her unwavering love will forever echo in the hearts of her family. As they navigate this profound loss, they find solace in knowing that Patricia's light will always shine brightly through the lives she touched.
