Patricia Chew

July 8, 1934 — January 23, 2024

CHEW (Thompson), PATRICIA A. 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at her home in Middletown Rhode Island. She was the loving wife of the late William (Bill) Chew. 

Patricia was retired from Citizen’s Bank where she worked in the corporate office for many years.   A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Pat leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness.  Pat’s commitment to community shone through her volunteer work as a Girl Scout leader, nurturing the growth of young minds as well as serving in many capacities within the church community. She was an avid reader and a member of the Middletown Senior Center where she enjoyed playing bingo, exercising and drumming class!

Pat is survived by her 5 children, James Chew and his wife Carol of North Aurora, IL, Janet Moy of Middletown, RI, Eileen Drake and her fiancé Eric Paterson of Palos Verdes Estates, CA, Elizabeth Caplette and her husband Dan of Lakeville Massachusetts, and Thomas Chew and his wife Mikel of Bellevue, WA. She also leaves behind her cherished 11 grandchildren.

There will be no calling hours. A mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 10:00 am at St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Middletown Senior Center, 70 Green End Avenue, Middletown, RI  02842.

Services are Entrusted to Robbins Funeral Home, Centerdale section of North Providence
