Favreau, Norman J., 86, of North Providence, died Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at RI Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He reunites with his wife, the late Lucy (Iannuccilli) Favreau. They were married for 49 years. A lifelong resident of North Providence, he was a son of the late Arthur J. and Eugina L. (Lupien) Favreau. He was the brother of the late Albert Favreau.

Norman is survived by his children, Norma and Dr. James Hardiman of Lithia, FL, Jim and Maria Favreau, Joan and Jerry Fisher, Lois and Louie Squillante, all of North Providence, and Mark Favreau of North Scituate. He has fifteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Norman owned and operated F&D Weatherproofing for many years before retiring. He served valiantly in the US Navy aboard the PC493 during WWII and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Bouffard Council. He was an accomplished craftsman and enjoyed collecting and restoring antique cars.

His funeral will be held Saturday at 9 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Lawrence Church. Burial with military honors will follow in Highland Memorial Park. Calling hours Friday 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Patrol Craft Sailors Assn., C/O Mark Matyas, 11610 Paso Robles Ave., Granada Hill, CA 91344-2552.
