Obituary

Mohamed H. Hussein, 87, of North Providence, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026 in his home surrounded by his loved ones. Mohamed was born on May 1, 1939 in Alexandria, Egypt and spent his life as an engineer working until 87 years old. A devoted member of Thomas Smith Webb Lodge No. 43 and Orpheus Lodge No. 36, affiliated with St. John’s Lodge No. 1 F. & A.M. in Providence, Rhode Island, one of the oldest Masonic lodges in the U.S., Mohamed was a proud recipient of 50 years of Masonic service. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Zeinab, his children Jillian Hamdy, Gigi Amore and Amy Hussein-Vieira. His grandchildren Danielle Hamdy, David Hamdy, Michael Amore, Alexis Vieira and Dante Vieira & two great grandchildren Jillianie Hamdy and David Hamdy.

He loved traveling, he and his wife traveled everywhere in the world and shared countless unforgettable adventures. Mohamed was graciously known for always wanting to be behind the camera not in front of it. He spent much of his life and time recording and capturing his family events. At times he was not working in his home office he allowed his grandchildren in to watch movies with him. While he spent so much time recording his home videos he ended up creating the best movie of all. His family. Mohamed has joined his great grandson, Joshua David Hamdy, in heaven, where their love and legacy can continue to guide and inspire us all.
