Mildred Buchanan

Buchanan, Mildred A., 97, of Providence, died Monday, January 28, 2019 at the Overlook Nursing Home.  She was the wife of the late William J. Buchanan.  Born in Lowell, MA, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Agnes Kurpis.

Before retiring, Mildred was a self-employed seamstress.  She was a communicant of St. Pius V Church.

She leaves four children, Jane F. Garabedian and her husband Edward of North Providence, Paul S. Buchanan of Somerset, MA, John A. Buchanan and his wife Marilyn of Cranston, James T. Buchanan and his wife Gail of Norfolk, MA, 7 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren, and a brother Francis Kurpis of Lowell, MA.

Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9 AM from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Pius V Church, 55 Elmhurst Ave, Providence.  Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  Calling hours are Wednesday 5-8 PM.
