Mary Rossi

Rossi, Mary Jane (Gervais), 69, died March 6, 2009 at Miriam Hospital. She was the wife of the late James P. Rossi, Sr. Born in Smithfield, she was a daughter of the late Wilfred J. and Mary Jane (Forget) Gervais. Mary Jane was a quality control inspector at A.T. Cross for 10 years, retiring in 1995.

A devoted mother and grandmother, she leaves four children, Cathy Rossi Kennedy and husband Paul of Smithfield, James P. Rossi, Jr. and wife Loreen of East Greenwich, David D. Rossi of North Providence, and Paul G. Rossi and wife Lu Ann of Johnston, five grandchildren, Jennifer and Daniel Kennedy, Christopher, Rebecca, and Ashley Rossi, a sister, Rose Marie Turner of Smithfield, and a brother, Michael R. Gervais of Providence.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Michael Church. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michael Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield, RI 02917.
