Mary Baird

Baird, Mary M., 81, a homemaker and home day care provider for many years, died February 26, 2009 at the Cobb Wellstar Hospital in Austell, Georgia. She was the wife of the late Clinton A. Baird for 55 years. Born in Providence she was a daughter of the late Albert Sharbuno and Mildred (Page) Brearley and step- daughter of the late John J. Brearley, Sr.

A woman devoted to her faith, she loved gospel music and sang in many duos and trios. She also loved to write in her diary.

Mary leaves four children, Charles E. Baird of Johnston, John J. Baird and his wife Becky, with whom she lived, of Georgia, Sharon M. Rounds and her husband Brad of Massachusetts, and Sandra L. Wood and her husband Steve of Cranston. 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grand child, a sister Barbara Douglas of Coventry and an aunt Evelyn Vezina of Connecticut. She was the mother of the late Richard A. Baird, and sister of the late Thomas and Dorothy Sharbuno, and John J. Brearley, Jr.

Her funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 AM in the North Scituate Advent Christian Church, 212 Rockland Rd, No. Scituate. Visitation at the church from 10:15 to 11 AM. Burial will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. For online guest book visit www.robbinsfuneralhome.com.
