Marvin E. Alvarez Urzua, a cherished son, devoted partner, and loving father, passed away on May 11, 2025, in Woonsocket. Born on June 18, 1997, in Providence, Marvin was known for his noble heart and kind nature. He was a family-oriented individual who embodied respectfulness and personable warmth, qualities that endeared him to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Marvin is survived by his father, Marvin E. Alvarez, and his mother, Nancy Urzua Reid, who instilled in him the values of compassion and understanding. His legacy will be carried on by his beloved fiancée, Dawnaja Pona, and his precious children, Marvin, Kaylani, and soon to be born, June. Additionally, Marvin was a loving brother to Alma (nieces Mia, and Josie), Carolina, Victoria, Valeria, and Dante, and a treasured grandson to Paulino Alvarez and Gladys Urzua Illescas.
Fiercely protective, Marvin constantly looked out for others, illustrating his selflessness and dedication to those he loved. He brought light into the lives of many and he will be remembered for the unforgettable impact he made upon his family and friends.
As we reflect on Marvin's short yet remarkable life, we remember his gentle spirit, kindness, and unwavering support for family and friends alike. His memory will continue to inspire those who knew him, reminding us to cherish our loved ones and hold close the values he lived by. Marvin will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 16th from 7-9 pm in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Visitation will also be held on Saturday, May 17th from 10-11 am, followed by a graveside service in Acotes Hill Cemetery, Chepachet.
