Mario J. DiCostanzo, 94, passed away on November 5, 2025, at Crystal Lake Rehabilitation in Pascoag. He was the devoted husband of the late Leonie (Slaimen) DiCostanzo. Born in Providence, on December 8, 1930, Mario was a son of the late Antonio and Angela DiCostanzo.
As an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, Mario served his country with honor before returning to civilian life to hone his craft as an auto upholsterer. His exceptional skills not only contributed to his professional successes but also led to the pride he took in his handiwork at home. A notable craftsman, he undertook extensive woodworking projects, including the installation of all the hardwood floors and wood paneling in his beloved home.
Mario is survived by his loving son, John Mario DiCostanzo; his granddaughter, Julia Marie DiCostanzo; his grandson, Leonardo Robert DiCostanzo; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers Diego DiCostanzo and Anthony DiCostanzo and his sisters Marie Cardillo and Jean Quaglieri.
Mario's funeral service will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025 at 11 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Burial will military honors will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Calling hours Sunday 4-6 pm.
