Marilyn A. Toner, 82, of Chepachet, died on October 26, 2022 at the Hope Health Hospice Center. She was the devoted wife of the late John E. Toner for 59 years. Born in Worcester, MA, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Esther (Dwyer) Crook.
Marilyn worked for Coro before raising her family. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, ready to help her loved ones without needing to be asked. She enjoyed sitting on the front porch with her husband and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandson. In her spare time, she liked to keep herself busy with sudoku, crosswords and watching sports on TV.
She is survived by her son, John J. Toner of Johnston, her daughter, Lynn A. Clark and her husband Steven of Chepachet, four grandchildren, Amanda Clark, Steven Clark Jr., Jennifer Dorothy, and Jessica Clark, and her great-grandson, James Dorothy.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 8-9 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Joseph’s Church, 183 Sayles Avenue, Pascoag. Burial will follow in Acotes Hill Cemetery, Chepachet. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Health Hospice , 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
