Carlson, Marilyn C., 72, died June 20, 2012 at Hebert Nursing Home. She was the wife of Roy E. Carlson. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late William and Avis (Tierney) Kirker.
Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Kathleen Bartlett of Newport, a son, David Carlson of Johnston, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was sister of the late Carolyn Swain.
Her funeral service will be held Monday at 9 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Burial in the RI Veterans Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
