Madeline Campbell

Campbell, Madeline F. (Gilleran), 96, died January 12, 2015 at Heritage Hills Nursing Centre. She was the wife of the late John R. Campbell. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Eileen (Ware) Gilleran.

Madeline worked as a ward secretary at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital for many years before retiring.

She was the mother of Carolyn Carlton, Marilyn Fair, Beverly Magrath, Madelyn White, and the late Margery Dwyer, grandmother of 13, including the late James Fair, great-grandmother of 16, sister of Joseph Gilleran, Robert Gilleran, Loretta Hughes, Rita Dragon, and the late Eileen Turgeon, Lillian Fallens and Eugene Gilleran. The family would also like to acknowledge her caretaker, Betty Borden.

Visitation will be held Wednesday 9:30-10:30 AM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Michael Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Burial in St. Ann Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute or Heritage Hills Activities Fund.
