Leah Peterson

Peterson, Leah L. (Carlton), 77, formerly of Capron Rd., Smithfield, died Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Greenville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was the wife of the late David R. Peterson. A lifelong resident of Smithfield, she was a daughter of the late Luther J. and Helen A. (Andrews) Carlton.

Leah worked in the jewelry industry for many years.

She is survived by a son, David Peterson and his wife, Cheryl, a daughter, Diane Kalmer and her husband Irwin, four grandchildren, David N. and Ryan J. Peterson, Samuel and Gary Kalmer, and siblings, Donald, Gerald, William, David and John Carlton and Norma Paterson. She was the mother of the late Gary Peterson and sister of the late Roy Andrews, Russell Carlton, Richard Carlton, and Anna Gabriele-Andreasson.

Her funeral services will be held privately on Saturday at 10am in the Robbins Funeral Home with burial to follow in Highland Memorial Park. www.robbinsfuneralhome.com
