Leveille, Laurence R., 80, died January 7, 2010 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Madeline T. (Carrier) Leveille. Born in Esmond, he was a son of the late Raphael and Irene (Schenck) Leveille.

Laurence worked for First National for seven years, and for Almacs for 35 years, where he was a shop steward for the UFCW #328. He was a member of St. Lawrence Church, Centredale, where he served as a lector, eucharistic minister, and a CCD teacher. Laurence was a 4th degree Knight, serving as Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus, St. Lawrence Council and as Faithful Navigator in the Knights of Columbus, Adams Assembly. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Laurence was a 1946 graduate of Lasalle Academy and an avid Yankees fan.

Besides his wife, he leaves three daughters, Carol A. Boyer and her husband Scott, Christine M. Leveille, and Constance B. Soder, six grandchildren, Danielle Fenelon and her husband Willio, Jessica Soder, Carl Boyer, Cory Soder, Theresa Boyer, and Matthew Boyer, and two brothers, Richard and Roger Leveille. He was predeceased by eleven siblings.

His funeral will be held Monday at 10 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Lawrence Church, Centredale. Burial with military honors will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Calling hours Sunday 2-6 PM.
