Laura D'Angelo

D'Angelo, Laura Eloise (Phifer), 86, of Smithfield and Palm Bay, FL, died October 26, 2011 at St. Antoine's Residence. She was the wife of Alfred J. D'Angelo. Born in Statesville, NC, she was a daughter of the late Silas and Nettie (Gunn) Phifer.

A registered nurse, Laura was a graduate of Watts Hospital School of Nursing, and had worked at Woonsocket Hospital, Roger Williams Hospital, Waterman Heights Nursing Home, and the Franciscan Missionaries before retiring.

Beside her husband she leaves five children, David and Joseph D'Angelo, Dianne Bobb, Alfred B. and John D'Angelo, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated Saturday at 9AM in St. Michael Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Burial will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours omitted.
