Joyce L. Barzykowski

Joyce L. Barzykowski, aged 74, passed away peacefully at her home in North Providence on October 30, 2025. Born on January 2, 1951, in Providence, Joyce was one of six children of the late Vincenzo "Jim" and Emelinda (Piccirillo) Ferrucci. 

Joyce dedicated her professional life to serving as a secretary for various companies before retiring from the North Providence School Department. . Known for her warmth and generosity, Joyce was a great friend to all who knew her. Her hospitable nature made her home a welcoming space, especially during holiday gatherings where she enjoyed decorating and hosting Christmas dinners.

A woman of diverse interests, Joyce found joy in several hobbies. She was an avid knitter and crocheter. Traveling was another passion, with fond memories of her adventures, particularly her cherished trip to Argentina. Additionally, she delighted in gardening and had a knack for bringing beauty to her surroundings. Cooking and baking were also skills she took pride in, often sharing her meals and Christmas cookies with family and friends.

Joyce is survived by her loving husband, George Barzykowski, her brother Carl Ferrucci (Frances), and several nieces and nephews who will hold her memory close to their hearts. She also leaves behind her cherished dog, Tilly, who was a faithful companion.

Visitation will be held for Joyce on Thursday, November 6, 2025 from 5-8 pm in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence.  There will be a Catholic prayer service at 7:45 pm.
