Joseph Nobile

Nobile, Joseph, 91, of Smithfield, died Monday December 28, 2015 at the Elmhurst Extended Care Facility. He was the husband of the late Celia (Corcelli) Nobile. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Nicola and Adeline (DeCesare) Nobile.

Joseph served four years in the U.S. Navy and was a WWII veteran. He also worked for the Teamsters Local 251 for 35 years. Joseph was a volunteer at the RISPCA in East Providence.

He is survived by his daughter, JoAnn Nobile of North Providence, and a sister, Irene Supino of Cranston. He was the father of the late Donna Marie Nobile and brother of the late Josephine Ravo, Claire Campagnone, Lena LaPierre, Albert, Nicholas and Edward Nobile. He was devoted to his little dog, Minnie.

Visitation will be held Thursday 9:15-10:15 AM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM in St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins St. Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
