Joseph Menna

Menna, Joseph G., "Joe Cement", 78, of Douglas Ave, died January 7, 2010 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Sylvia A. (Schenck) Menna. Born in Cranston he was the son of the late Giuseppa and Sarafina (Martinelli) Menna.

Joseph was a self-employed cement finisher for many years before retiring. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Joe was happiest in the company of his family and especially enjoyed visits from his grandchildren. He will be always be remembered and appreciated for his willingness to lend a hand.

Besides his wife, Joe was the devoted step-father of Sylvia-Anne Shepherd of Johnston, David A. Shepherd of Hope Valley, and Randall J. Shepherd and his wife Catherine of Cranston, the cherished grandfather of George, Grace, and Jacob. He was brother of the late Catherine Fascia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 AM in Church of the Presentation, 1081 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence. Burial in St. Ann Cemetery will be private. Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted. For online condolences visit robbinsfuneralhome.com.
