Lemire, Joan B. (Gillen), 77, died March 29, 2011 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. She was the wife of Wilfred F. Lemire. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Helen (O'Connor) Gillen.
Joan was a quality control supervisor for the former Nyman Manufacturing Company until retiring.
Besides her husband she leaves two sons, Ronald P. Lemire of Groton, CT and Bruce D. Lemire of Johnston. She was the grandmother of two and one deceased grandchild, and great grandmother of two.
Her funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 AM in the ROBBINS FUNERAL HOME, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Friday 5-8 PM.
