Joan Kennaway

Kennaway, Joan E., 81, of North Kingstown, formerly of North Providence, died Friday, September 12, 2014 at the home of her sister Gail in North Kingstown. Born in Providence, and a longtime resident of North Providence, she was a daughter of the late James T. and Loretta (Murphy) Kennaway.

Joan was a quality control inspector for the Mine Safety Appliances Company of Esmond from 1955 to 1995, 40 years of service.

She was the sister of Gail L. Martish of North Kingstown, J. Grant Kennaway of North Kingstown, Bruce G. Kennaway of Cambridge and Wellfleet, MA, and the late Glenn T. Kennaway. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, September 17, 2014 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence, followed by a service at Highland Memorial Park Mausoleum, Johnston.
